Date: February 7, 6pm - 8pm EST
In this interactive TBL workshop, we will focus on practical ways to curate the readiness process through the lens of cognitive load theory. Attendees will learn about the basic tenets of cognitive load theory, how it can inform the design of pre-class materials, and practical ways to exchange unnecessary cognitive load with productive cognitive load.
4. Implementing Team-based Learning in the Health Sciences
Date: February 21, 7pm - 8pm EST
Team-based Learning (TBL) is a popular choice of pedagogy in medicine, pharmacy, PA, and other health sciences programs. Still, many educators find it challenging to get started with TBL or get buy-in for their TBL courses. Join us for a one-hour roundtable discussion with our speakers to learn about their successes, failures, and experiences in implementing TBL programs at their institutions.
A faculty guide provides summary information about the course and what should be taught in the classes. It helps educators to have a clearer overview of the learning objectives and be better prepared for their classes. Learn how to write an effective faculty guide in our latest blog post!
